Papers, 1963-1968 and n.d., that include correspondence, biographical sketches, letters, memos, speeches, transcripts, polls, a cassette tape, balloting and electoral records, advertisements, newspaper clippings, printed matter, and financial records. Important records in the first series include speeches and press releases of George C. Wallace regarding states rights, Congressional redistricting in 1964, Ala. economic development, the 1966 gubernatorial campaign, and other subjects. The second series is very small, but contains speeches and other items related to the 1966 gubernatorial campaign of Lurleen B. Wallace. The third and largest series contains records of George C. Wallace's 1968 presidential campaign. Included in these records are the platform of the American Independent Party, a small amount of correspondence, and a substantial amount of balloting, qualifying, and electoral records. There are also press releases, including the statement of Curtis E. LeMay at his 1968 Oct. press conference. Also present are advertising and financial records, though not in large quantity.

Lurleen Burns Wallace (born Lurleen Brigham Burns; September 19, 1926 – May 7, 1968) was the 46th governor of Alabama for fifteen months from January 1967 until her death in May 1968.
